-=Shadow straightened to his full height when YG began to approach him, always on his guard. A smirk played across his face, and he crossed his arms across his chest. When YungGun laughed and turned away, that eyebrow went up again.=-
What the hell...?
-=Shrugging, he leaned back against the wall, but disappeared into the black mist before his back touched the stone.=-

< Arriving at a lavishly decorated, ten foot tall door Morge ushered it opened. The two guards standing at either side of the door pushed it open. Morge motioned for Tiber to enter. When he did Morge stayed outside the doors. >
"The representative for the Leader will be with you shortly. Feel free to look around here, but please, don't touch anything."
< After that the guards closed the door. >

"hhmph" Tiber muttered, "Guess not all of them are hospitable" The doors closed and the mage was left alone in the room. He surveyed his surroundings with a casual eye, just trying to keep himself busy while he waited. There were lots of books. Old tomes with ripped and waving pages mixed in with newer, more vibrantly colored books. There were loose pages that had fallen from within their covers laying on the floor. Tiber swooped one up and found it to be tax records. "Must be a record keeping office." the boy said with a groan. There would be nothing interesting to read in here. Resigning himself to his momentary captivity, Tiber plopped down in the lesser of two seats on either side of a desk. If need be he could always cast a haste spell to hurry the wait.

-=Shadow leaned against the frame of one of the open windows high above the chamber, watching the man looking around for a moment before he spoke=-
Why do I know the name you mentioned to Gun? Who is Izlude?

"Enough waiting."
~Raist appeared in the chair opposite Tiber. He looked up at Shadow.~
"Please, we will attend to that in time. Tiber and I have business to discuss."
~He looked towards Tiber now. A straight, unemotional look on his face. His eyes were blank and cold. He held no opinion of the situation he had in front of him.~
"Tiber, I contacted the clan leader, Paco. His response to me was bestowing me with the position of clan Co-Leader. Since he is away I will deal with the process of your induction into the clan. All that I have to ask now is to explain what you expect here with the clan. What are your plans here?"
~He drew on the table with his finger. No marks could be seen, but the trained eyes of a mage could easily observe that he made unseen runes. What they did was only known by highly skilled mages.~

-=Bowing his head slightly, Shadow took a step backwards out of the high window, and had he been mortal would have plummetted to his death, but Shadow merely puffed out of existance=-

The boy was satisfied with the situation. If Raistlin was now co-leader, then all the better for himself. "My plan in joining Demon Guardians is to seek out training from yourself. If I am to become a member of this clan in order to do that, then I don’t mind. That is what I expected." Tiber stood from his chair and began to stroll through the room, bookcase to bookcase while he talked. "My main goal in learning from you is to one day defeat Izlude, thus protecting my father. It is not just learning from you however. I must learn on my own in order to become strong enough. First, I must go back to the Shogun Island Chronos Temple, to look at the Chronos stream. Having been there yourself, you were likely shown it. A small river in a secluded little grove that when looked upon by those of the Chronos order, can tell the future. It shows what, as currently set up, will happen." Tiber stopped for a moment in the middle of the room, and looked to Raistlin. "I have never looked upon this river myself, as it holds immense power that only the elders are allowed to wield. The catch of it all as you may have guessed, is that I will not be allowed to see the stream by the elders. In fact they will have me killed or captured as soon as I arrive. That is where I need Demon Guardian's help. Especially yours. Once I am able to peer into the stream, I can tell what will happen with Izlude, my father, and myself. I will know what to do in order to kill the necromancer. I will know if I am unsuccessful, and if so I will change my current strategy. For this, if you wish you may also peer into the stream, and see the currently held fate of Demon Guardians. We can both gain from this." The Chronos mage again walked up to the desk opposite of Raistlin, placing his fingers on the wood. "And if I see what I think I am going to see in the stream, then this clan would be well served to help me in my overall quest. Izlude may not be of terrible power now, but if the stream shows that he has developed his potential, then you will be beholden to help me extinguish him."

~As he listened he kept looking down to the desk. The rune he drew on the right kept lighting up green every now and then. Once he saw the left one flash red. Raist sat there and pondered over this.~
"I understand your delema. I wish to assist in your training, but not for your needs. I have personal issues to tend to. I'll see to your training, but you'll have to work harder then you could ever imagine. The cronos stream not only is difficult to read at your level, but it would tax your bady to such extreams that you will be left withered and exausted. That alone could alter the outcome of your future."
~Raist stood up and walked over to Tiber. With his right index finger he drew on Tiber's forehead.~
"You now have the rune of blessings granted by me. You can enter the tower for studdies, but my upper lab is of limits to everyone. I suggest you stay away from it without my permision. As for your training we begin now. Make your way back to the tower and meet me in my study. It's where you first arrived here."
~Fading into the air Raist left these parting words.~
"This is the first of many tests to see if you can live here. Can you find your way around?"

< A loud slam rattled the floor when Morge punched the brick wall behind YungGun. >
"The drapes are right near you. It's not wise to be creating a spark. But I wouldn't expect you to do anything wise anyways."
< Morge turned to continue his rounds of the castle walls. >

~Yung Gun grinned. He then snapped his fingers and spark flew from it. It floated until it landed on the drapes. The drapes then bursted into a big wall of fire. Yung Gun just sat in his seat as if the blazing fire wasnt happening right behind him~
"Oops. I guess i did something unwise........You better go fix it before the whole castle burns down"

The very moment Raistlin began to disappear, Tiber lifted his staff and tapped it twice on the ground. At that instant the Stop spell he had prepared during his wait went into effect. There in front of the mage stood a faded image of Raistlin, mid-spell. "Right then. Lets see if I can beat him back to the lab." The spell took most of his normal energy and left him a bit winded, but it's effect would be much longer than previous times now that Tiber wielded Master Gervalt's staff. The mage hurried through the doors he had entered and paused for a moment to observe the fire that took place over the shoulder of Yunggun. A slight smile passed it's way over Tiber's face as he looked at their expressions. After taking enough time to observe, Tiber again hurried down the hall, easily finding his way out into the open street where a few passing commoners stood frozen in their routines. A handful of apples dropped from the back of a cart out onto the street. Some were bouncing and others had yet to make contact with the ground. Looking up, Tiber surveyed the building-tops for the tallest. A few interested him, but only one dwarfed the others. "There he is. Now I gotta hurry, the spell only has a little more." The boy gasped as he began to run, already sapped of his energy. Perhaps I was not a good idea to try and show off. But he did want to show Raistlin what he could do. How much he had improved since last time. As he reached the foot of the tower, Tiber's focus blinked the Stop spell away. Life once again resumed around him with the strength of his spell wearing off. "Oh well, maybe next time I can make it." The few people around him glared, mightily afraid of the man who had just appeared before them. They had no idea what happened. Life just continued on for them without so much as a shudder. As Tiber began to ascend the stairs, he wondered if Raistlin would have felt the spell. Probably not if he was not in tune with Chronos. Tiber himself could only feel a slight twinge if anyone else used a spell. Raistlin's reaction could help to determine just how much the elder mage knew in this discipline. How much could he teach? Tiber reached the door blowing air in and out furiously. His head warmed and reddened from the jog. Twisting the handle he proceeded inside, "I thought I could beat you here. Maybe tomorrow we could try that again."

"Stop spells are taxing for a young mage such as you."
~Raist was at his bookcase replacing a couple fire trainers that he knew YungGun left lying around. When he looked at Tiber, exhausted as he was, Raist gave a slight, sneer of a smile.~
"It's alright. You did the spell fine. I barely felt it, but your exhaustion, adding to the quickness that you arrived here, can only mean you used such a spell. Interesting staff though. One of the most arcane on the whole land of Shogun. It must have been that staff that kept you conscious after casting the spell."
~Raistlin made a quick glide towards him stopping about a foot in front of him.~
"Heed my words. The staff won't hold you forever. The body will take only so much extra push until it caves in. Increase your knowledge and strengthen your mind. Then you won't be so reliant on another object for support."

Tiber nodded as he received the warning. Inside he knew that he had to get stronger, but with his new staff he could not help but find his boundaries. After all it is only once one finds their boundaries that they can actually begin to extend them. "I understand, I keep that in mind from now on..." The boy realized that he was unsure of what to call Raistlin. He did not want to presume anything, but also did not want to be disrespectful. "...If you don't mind me asking, what would it be appropriate for me to call you? Master? Sir? Instructor?"

-=Shadow was sitting atop that very spire where Tiber decided Raist's laboratory resided, watching things unfold with YungGun and Morge and the fire, when suddenly he felt himself slow way down, almost to the point of immobilization. His thoughts still raced, but his limbs simply would not obey the commands his brain sent them quick enough. That's when he noticed everyone else on the ground had stopped moving completely.=-
What the hell...?
-=But the words came out as if in slow motion. He attempted to stand, but found himself slowly rising into a squatting position. Suddenly, the door beside YG burst open and the young mage came running out... full speed. So, it was the fledgling that had caused this. His lips went into a sneer, then, although that was succeeded only as he reached his full standing height. He watched the mage running right up toward the tower he stood upon... He was trying to get to Raist's lab! And that was when the spell let go. Shadow had been exerting so much force trying to stand, that when the hold was released, he flew way up into the air, off balance, and came plummeting down, barely righting himself before slamming into the cobblestones a couple of hundred feet down, cracking the stones and pavers under the impact. Shadow growled this time, his fangs glimmering as his lips pulled back in another sneer. If it's one thing he disliked, it was a mage that tinkered with the fabric of time...=-
