"So how far do you think ... *as he looks down* ... the lair is?" JC asked with fear going through his body

~SForce watched as his commrades were left in the dust. He was flying far and fast on top of the dragon's back. He was alone until he soon realized the dwarf and vampire at his side.~
"Well....this wasn't suppose to happen...." SForce said sarcastically. "How are we going to get all this information to Raistlin? We don't really know where we are and it's only the three of us flying back to the dragon's lair." SForce said to the two of them, forgetting he was hundreds of feet in the air

*Shadow shrugged non-committally, scanning the mountainsides as they passed overhead, trying to keep his bearings as they flew. The dragon dipped into a low valley, then swooped to the right and upward, flying in a near-vertical climb up a sheer cliff. About three quarters of the way up, it entered a cave. Shadow motioned for the others to dismount, and then dropped silently to the floor of the cave. The dragon crawled further into the darkness, but Shadow held back, using the jagged rocks along the wall as cover. He followed a short distance behind the lumbering beast. The cave twisted back and forth into the mountain before opening into a large cavern, lit by a huge cauldron at the center. Shadow ducked behind a stalagmite outcropping, and watched as the dragon made it's way to the middle of the room, joining two other dragons, and a peculiar looking human. He turned to SF and JC.*
Well, it appears we have found the hideout.

*JC nods his head*
Now the question is to find the way to get back to tell Riast.
*JC looks down the road and sees smoke coming from what he thinks is a village. He points in that direction*
Shall we proceed to there to see if theres any survivors?

*Shadow watched the scene before him a moment longer before turning to look toward the rising plume of smoke JC had pointed out.* Aye. Let us see if we can be of assistance...

*He moved out of the cave's entrance, leaving the dragons behind them. He looked down the mountainside, picking out the quickest route to the village. He started down the mountain, glancing back to see if the others were following.*
At least this will give us a moment to decide what we should do about those drakes...

~For hours Raistlin reads through his book. Taking from it pieces of information that he puts together in his mind to come to his ultimate conclusion of what to expect.~
"As far as I can tell the Dragon Prince was first created back in ancient times. There were 5 dragons involved in the spell, one for each of the different elemental abilities. Two of them then slay themselves during the ritual to offer up their power for him. Over time the ritual has been forgotten and it's assumed that only one who has been there still knows what to do for it. I can't find anything on how to stop it, or how any of the dragons even came to know the ritual to perform it now. There are no astrological records that speak of a way to have a lunar and solar eclipse within the same night and day. Although tonight should be a lunar eclipse, so I must work quickly."
~Raistlin searched his volumes over on the shelf once again. Finding what pleased him he pulls the book out and props it on a pedestal to read from it. The cover read "Dragon Chronology" and had a crude image of a tree in the background. Turning only a few pages he examines many names. Then a few entries caught his attention.~
"A green and a black dragon of nearly the same age that both dies of self sacrifice. That looks like it could be the time of the last dragon prince."
~Looking back at the story of the dragon prince he reads up on the story of the last incarnation and what happened~
*It is recorded that the Dragon Prince took control of the world. No army could defeat him. After nearly ten years the world was being decimated. Even the dragons began to fear what was happening. If the world is destroyed then what will be left for the dragons to enjoy? They pleaded with the ones who created the Prince asking them to undo the ritual. "How much longer till he focuses his rage upon us?" They would ask. The magis refused to believe their Dragon Prince would do such a thing. Shortly there after a nesting spot of red dragons was found destroyed. The Dragon Prince was not heard of after that. An old dragon scroll was found in the nesting place of blue dragons. Preserved in the ice. It was said to have talked of the final acts of the magi dragons to put an end to the prince's reign.*
"What the hell?! Then what? It must have more to it then this. The story can't just end there. I have to think."
~Looking to the book of dragon lineage he examines the names of blue, red and white dragons. Finding three that were of similar ages and lived in that time period he checked their deaths. "Reported to have vanished in a red dragon nest."~
"Just about ten years after the green and black dragons died. The red one seems to have been the oldest though. 'Arogath' was his name. Maybe he had some scrolls of his own that he passed on about the ritual. I need to venture out and find any of these rare dragon scrolls and see if any of them hold answers."
~Raistlin quickly puts the books back. He then withdrew the black marble from the pouch again and concentrates on it. ~
"You're going to tell me all you know about dragon scrolls and where to find the ones I need, Viper."
~The colors swirled violently then Raistlin disappeared.~

~After a long day of climbing rocks, cliffs, and trying to keep up with the dragons, he finally made his way to the cave of the Father Sky mountains. The snowy terrain made it hard to traverse the area, but with the pain that Guts has endured and the fire in his blood he had no trouble enduring. He watched them as they entered the cave. The dragons made their way to a cauldron where there was five dragons of different colors chanting.~
"This doesn't look good."
~Just then another dragon flies in. Guts sees familiar faces as three people dismount from the beast. They talk with each other and point towards the town at the base of the mountain.~
"You three can go for all I care. I will do what I can to stop this ritual. It is very near dusk and I won't let this happen."

*Shadow fell back behind SF and JC as they ran down the mountain, eventually slowing to a stop and letting them head on to the village. He turned and looked back up the mountain to the cave's entrance, feeling a fellow clan member's presence. Having dealt with the madness of dragons before, he knew the lone warrior would never stand a chance against them. One or two, perhaps, but four? And each of a different type? That would take coordination and teamwork. Glancing back down the mountain to the shrinking figures of SF and JC once more, he sprinted full tilt back up the incline. Nearing the entrance, he slowed and peered around the corner, his quick eyes darting to each shadowy recess until he spotted his clanmate. Picking up a small pebble, he tossed it and hit Guts on the shoulder to get his attention, then motioned him over to the rock outcropping he was now crouched behind.*

~Looking over his shoulder Guts makes his way, silently, to his comrade. He continues looking around remembering there were 3 of them.~
"Where are the others? I don't know how long I'll be able to hold them off alone, but with your help I think it is possible. The others would be a help too. Either that, or just be in the way."
~He was gonna wait for an explanation, but remembered something.~
"By the way, Raistlin is working on things. He summoned me to hold off the ceremony as long as I could while he gets what he'll need together. He didn't know what he needed when he sent me, but he was studying very intently."

Let us just hope that nothing too dangerous awaits our friends in the village...
*His eyes searched the deeper recesses of the cave, trying to pick out their next vantage point as he tried to formulate a plan.*
And just how long will our esteemed leader be...?
